About Me

Hello Everyone! My name is Alysa, and I am the owner of the small home jewelry business, Combat Creations! {and on Facebook} I am a 22 year old stay-at-home U.S. Air Force wife, married to my hero, Chaz. During the day, I am working my fingers to the bloody bone making military themed paracord and charm jewelry; but after the "work" is done, the fun begins! I love cooking, crafting and crocheting. So much so, that I finally decided to make a blog about it! Now, I have to be totally honest. I kind of have no idea what I'm doing here. I have never written a recipe, nor have I ever written a pattern. I just might end up making myself look silly in the process of all of this, but you know what, that's really alright with me! As you can see, I am super fun. I am pretty much carefree and just love living life. See my picture over there? I enjoy the little things in life, like whisking inside my empty glass Pampered Chef batter bowl. No big deal, right? Pretty much I just love to have fun, and be myself. You will read my actual personality in almost all of my blog posts. I feel like I physically don't know how to not show emotion in my writing? Hopefully you enjoy my posts, and can get a laugh out of my silly personality. You can laugh with me, or you can laugh at me. I'll let you decide! (:

My Mission:

As silly, outgoing, and fun-loving as I really am, I actually did start this blog for a real purpose. My goal for 2012 is to save both the environment and our hard earned money on everyday products that can be made at home! Things like copy-cat restaurant recipes at home, instead of eating out as much. Homemade cleaners for pennies vs. dollars. Sewing and/or crocheting washable/reusable products instead of throwing away disposable products everyday! For some reason we are in the "disposable" era. And I am just not into it. Hey, I enjoy a good deal and/or an easy solution to any fix just as much as the next guy! But the problem with all of these disposable products is how much they really do hurt our environment. I'm no tree-hugging-hippy, that is for sure. But I really believe that I can not only put my skills to good use, I now have the ability to share my ideas and skills with others. I love interacting with other people and sharing ideas. Please drop a comment or note under any post, I would love to hear from you! Thank you so much for stopping by. ~ Alysa
